Brushing up on an old classic. [link] There were bits of this that I felt were unfinished, like the hair, and the collar. I'm also thinking about turning this into a print. Please let me know if that would be something you might be interested in.
This is dedicated to Poets of the Fall, who reignited an artist's passion, and to God, for sending them to me.
Note: This is a picture of hope. The tree is scrawny, but it's still alive. The sky is hazy and gray, yet the sun still shines. She clings to the one thing that has gotten her through, and as she does, something else appears, something wonderful and full of color. Suddenly, it's not such a bad day after all.
Thanks, glad you like it. ^^ Heh, I don't know if I could recreate the essence of it if I tried oils or acrylics. There's a point where every artist has to stop or else they ruin it.
A truly beautiful piece! I especially love her hair! Though it makes me wonder why some of it is very fuzzy/fluffy, while the rest is dark and sketchy.
Thanks! I suppose it's because it was originally drawn with china marker and then lightly colored by Photoshop. You can see that a bit more in the previous version: [link]
This is a very beautiful picture... It reminds how even if you're having a bad day, or maybe even having it very rough there is still hope that comes from the Lord..Our Daddy.. And He will lead us through the storm, and if we cannot walk, He will carry us through the storm!
I like the style of it, and the scene reminds me of this place in Tennessee that I went for vacation a couple times. It has this one part that overlooks the valley below where there's just one lone tree. It's really small and bent up and it looks like it's growing in the smallest crack between the rocks. It's one of my favorite places to sit and think. I also like your note on the picture. Very nicely done
