I draw upon a place
I draw upon my face
I draw upon my experience
I draw on rhymes that make no sense.

I draw on pictures without their frames
I draw a bow and so take aim
I draw attention to myself without restraint
I draw the conclusion that I am no saint.

I draw water to have a drink
I draw on knowledge to help me think
I draw with paint, charcoal or pen
I draw on His strength and say, "Amen."

I draw my gun to point and shoot
I draw on courage though the point is moot
I draw near the end I suppose
This drawn-out poem draws to a close.
My Silly RosesMy Silly Roses

Whoever said ignorance was bliss
Obviously didn't know this.
Softer than downy feathers of doves
Is the deepest kind of love.

Memories sweeter than cherry wine
I was yours and you were mine
And so it was, we were flying
We didn't know that you were dying.

Suddenly this moment matters more
Than the one that passed before
It all became so clear
You said there's nothing left to fear

But losing you, oh, what a blow
I tried to prepare myself, you know.
I planted roses that very fall
And every year, they climb my wall.

Silly roses, but so red
(I still wish I had you back instead.)
My morning roses, in full bloom

I really enjoyed the game Alan Wake and can easily say I'm a better artist for playing it. I learned more about backgrounds, lighting, and camera angles by playing the game than I ever did studying books.

Pencil with a little burn 'n dodge, and smudging.
